Kathryn is a current high school teacher in Virginia with 14 years of experience teaching English in American public schools. She holds a master's degree in English education and writing. Kathryn believes that a good teacher is one who can motivate students and make them interested in their class. Therefore, in her classroom, she works very hard to ensure that students succeed. In a typical tutoring session, she introduces the topic and provides examples. Then, she practices the concept together in a guided way and finally conducts independent practice to ensure mastery. If students ever have difficulty, she always tries to find different ways to help them overcome their obstacles. Kathryn can teach anything related to English, literature, writing, or grammar! For example, high school English reading and writing, essay editing, AP English, SAT English, state-level exam courses, and so on. Her goal is to make tutoring meaningful and enjoyable. She hopes students look forward to their classes, but most importantly, feel confident in the knowledge and skills they have acquired by the end of the session.
